Morton's metatarsalgia is a condition associated with a painful neuroma on the digital nerve causing pain in the foot. By definition, pain is neuropathic and has to be treated using the protocol for neuropathic pain. I had one case study from one of the therapists about 5 - 6 years ago -it was treated successfully. Pain level was reduced to minimal over some period of time. Use 15PPS for scan and target and 15 - 60 PPS on Active Sites. treat both feet. Acupuncture source points on both feet, pl let us know the result
I know this subjuect is a few years old but I have treated lots of Mortons Neuroma (Metatarsalgia) and had fantastic results. One patient recorded that it felt like the Neuroma had burst and a huge amount of bruising came out across the top of the foot and No pain since. Whole area across the top and bottom of feet treated using low frequency IR and then 1 to 2 mins of painting.
I used the 1000 and flexible array on lumbar while treating both feet.
Most of my patients who have this wear hard pumps /high heel or wellington boots to walk in so advise cushiony insoles and trainers where possible while treating
