I'm currently working on my case studies and on occasion have noticed that the treatment sites become more sticky as I treat. Is this common? I was wondering if this is because the area is becoming warmer and starts to perspire slightly?
Also yesterday i had a patient whose skin became swollen at the treatment site, is this part of the body gong into a state of inflammation as a result of the treatment?
Yes, this is very common, this is indeed due to activation of sympathetic response and slight increase in perspiration. You should only treat the Active Sights until you feel a difference, do not try to make it perfect.
When treating area that is acutely swollen and inflamed, do not drag the device, juts place and cover all of the area without missing anything, reading the skin impedance and finding the Active Sights - then focus on them
The site wasn't swollen until I'd treated and then it was the skin that was inflamed. I have a feeling that I over-treated the site due to the area becoming more sticky.
it could be, but not necessarily, nature of interactive neurostimulation is to stimulate and engage the autonomic and central neural system in healing response. Often when you treat chronic injuries and inflammatory processes, first the body releases pro-inflammatory cytokines, that will initiate unfinished inflammatory stage, once we pass that point, the body tend just to heal naturally very quickly
