Yes, someone raised the question before about other treatment outcomes that we have when using non-invasive intreactive neurostimulation. One of the positive 'side effect' we noticed is that after a few hours following the treatment the patient gets really relaxed and sleepy. People comment something like: 'the night following the treatment I slept like a baby... or I slept so long like I haven't slept in ages..'

The InterX stimulation produces so called parasympathetic relaxation. We actually run a small study to see whether it truly takes place and we learnt that EEG (recorded electrical activity of the brain) showed a parasympathetic activation of the autonomic nervous system and synchronization in all: Alfa, Beta, Delta and Theta rhythms ... However, we only looked at a small number of patients, but it showed a trend. Many patients who suffer from pain for many years have so called sympathetic overdrive because pain has a constant stimulative effect on the nervous system. That is why many stress related conditions, including inability to sleep could potentially benefit alongside pain resolution.

So far, here is a tip for you, if you stimulate zones of parasympathetic enervation on the body such as head, abdomen, sacrum and neck, you should positively influence the patient and get a desired effect. We have a 'comb' external electrode that you can use to work over the scalp or you can stimulate facial points where the trigeminal nerve is close to the surface. When you work on the abdomen, slowly move the device clockwise. Stimulation should always be very comfortable, more like a vibration. When you treat the back of the Sacrum or Neck use the flexible array. The device frequency is also important, you should use slower pulse 15 PPS or 15 - 60PPS or cycle 3. Treatment session is 30 minutes as we recommend.

I have good success with it, I hope other therapists can contribute to this discussion and share with their findings.

Thank you Zulia! we will try it! I did notice after each interx tretment I received I did feel really tired and have generally slept better and longer since the first treatment. Just feeling more comfortable and less pain during the night also helped I'm sure!
